Its close proximity to Crotone, make it a very popular tourist destination during the summer months, for people who want to enjoy its long sandy beaches, and its excellent array of local restaurants and bars.

The economy of Cirò Marina is mainly based on tourism, farming and the sea. It has a very successful and famous grape production, which are exported all over the world. It is an excellent base for exploring this varied coastline, with Crontone being under 40km away, and Le Castella with its iconic castle being just over 60km. Getting to Ciro Marina is easy, with direct links to Crotone Airport (40km) and Lamzia Aiprort being approximately 1.5hrs away.
